Obituary for Mr. James “Jimmy” Martin Anderson Anderson – James “Jimmy” Martin Anderson, age 61, of Lawtey, Florida passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 27, 1956 to Maggie Manning Anderson and the late Guy T. Anderson. Jimmy was raised in Bradford County and proudly served his country in the United States Army for many years.

After being honorably discharged from the military, Jimmy relocated to Satellite Beach, Florida where he worked as a Roofer and Supervisor over roofing projects at North Florida Roofing Company. Several years later, after becoming disabled from a roofing incident, Jimmy moved back home to Lawtey, Florida where he enjoyed attending Northside Baptist Church, fishing, and spending time with his friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Guy T. Anderson and his brother, Michael “Nanner” Anderson.

Jimmy is survived by his loving mother, Maggie Anderson of Starke, FL; his siblings, Guy Lamar (Terry) Anderson and Marian (Loyd) Bryan both of Lawtey, FL; his 3 nieces, 1 nephew, and many great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Jimmy’s Life will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at Northside Baptist Church with Pastor Toby Roehm officiating. Interment will follow at Lawtey Cemetery.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services and Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel, Starke, Fl. 904-964-5757.
