James “J.W.” William Clouse, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Ashland City, Tennessee, surrounded by his loving family. J.W. was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on December 30, 1930, to the late Teaton and Emma Barnes Clouse. He worked and retired from Metro Government as a mechanic for the fire department.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Geneva Biggs. He is survived by his wife, Mayme Nicholson Clouse; children: Gail Hardin, Ricky (Cindy) Clouse, Danny Clouse, Debbie (Donald) Barnett, Gary (Kay) Clouse, and Terry Clouse; brother, Johnny (Geri) Clouse; grandchildren, Randy (Lesley) Pedigo, Nicholas Jackson, Keith (Amanda) Zachary, Steven Humel, Brian (Annette) Humel, and Shelby Clouse; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 12noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Joe Bogle officiating.

Burial will follow in Felts Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday, May 10th, from 1pm to 7pm and on Saturday before the service from 10am until service hour of 12noon. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Pedigo, Nicholas Jackson, Keith Zachary, Steven Humel, Brian Humel, and Ricky Clouse.
