James “JW” Williams, Jr., 59, of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama. A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 4:00pm EST at Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Smiths Station with Rev.

Craig T. Harbin officiating. JW was born March 5, 1960 to the late, James W. Williams, Sr. and Helen Louise Beam Williams. He worked as a carpenter,enjoyed fast cars and fast motorcycles.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Lural Douglas Greer, Jr. and sister, Linda Gale Williams. Surviving are his son, Shannon Holland (Elizabeth); sister, Cookie Greer Crenshaw; 2 brothers, Paul Carlton “Skip” Williams (Debbie) and Leonard Dale Williams; spouse, Pamela Sue Wastion; step children, Myra Nolan and Jodi Pate, grandchildren, Shannon Holland, Jr., Aaron Spivey, Lilly-Beth Holland, Juan, Christian, Louise, Angel, Allison, Elizabeth and Hayden; several nieces and nephews.
