James L. Miklitch, 95, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in Elderwood at Wheatfield. Born on February 9, 1923 in Niagara Fall, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Jeselnik) Miklitch. On February 19, 1949, he married the former Catherine Cuddahee.

She predeceased him on December 26, 2012. James proudly served in the United States Army Air Corp, during World War II, from February 3, 1943 until his honorable discharge on September 2, 1945. For over 40 years, he was employed as a carpenter working for the Carpenters Local #280.

James is survived by four children, James L. Miklitch, Jr., Lawrence P. (Sharon) Miklitch, Kenneth (Rhonda) Miklitch and Maureen (Mark) Currie of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by one son, William F. Miklitch. James is also survived by four grandchildren, Jennifer Miklitch, Corrine (Anthony) Boland, Rachael (Christopher) Mahiques and Alan Currie; 1 great-granddaughter; a brother, Robert Miklitch and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, wife and son, James was predeceased by 2 brothers, Frank and John.

Visitation on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. with a funeral service following at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Father Slavomir Siok, SAC officiating. Military Honors will conclude the services.
