Obituary of Kianna Crowell Kianna Patrice Crowell, 42, passed away unexpectedly at Buffalo General Hospital on Tuesday June 12, 2018. She was born in Niagara Falls, New York on February 22, 1976 to father, Clifton (Linda) Crowell and mother, the late Shirleen Prather. Kianna graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1994 and continued her education at Niagara County Community College.
Kianna served in the military and was honorably discharged. Kianna was ambitious and always looking for ways to better herself and advance her career. She had recently went back to school at Erie Community College, to obtain an Associate’s Degree in a Nursing.
Kianna was a deeply passionate person and loved to help others. Over the course of her life, she held various positions, all centered around helping to improve the lives of others. She was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant and Phlebotomist at Buffalo General Hospital.
Kianna was affectionately nicknamed “sharp shooter” by her patients and colleagues because of her precise ability to find the trickiest vein and was always requested by patients. She had former employment at Highpointe Nursing Home, Northgate Healthcare Facility and Children’s Hospital as a CNA. Kianna enjoyed working with the children.
Kianna also provided private homecare to elderly patients. Kianna was a hard worker, often working double shifts whenever needed. Kianna loved traveling with family and friends.
She especially enjoyed taking cruises and spent her 40th birthday in the Bahamas. Kianna had many talents, her favorite being interior design. She had a keen sense of style and enjoyed decorating her home with unique and luxurious items.
Kianna loved to accessorize her iPhone and her iWatch and always had the latest technology. Kianna also wrote poetry. Kianna was a loving person and will be immensely missed by her family and friends.
Kianna leaves to cherish her memories, father Clifton (Linda) Crowell; two sisters: Krystal Crowell and Brandi Smith; grandfather James A. Prather Sr; dear cousin, Jimmy Jones; uncles: Floyd Prather, James A. Prather Jr; aunts: Rosemary Philips, Tommy Jones, Mary Sue Smith, Helen G. Poonie; Joyce A. Prather; nephews: Shan, Kamdyn, Kyree, James, Ky’aun; nieces: Kanarah, Kyla, Karissa; godparents Derrick Evans and Sonia Hamilton and best friends Fekela Cox and Tiffany Johnson. She is predeceased by her daughter Raven Kiara Crowell; mother Shirleen Prather; maternal grandmother Kathleen L. Prather; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Mae Crowell; aunt Sherry Smith and nephew Brandon Jenkins. Visitation with the family will be held from 11:00 AM to Noon with funeral services at Noon on Saturday June 23rd at Mount Erie Baptist Church, 1152 Fairfield Avenue in Niagara Falls, NY.
There will be a repass with the family at 2:30 PM at Gill Creek Park 3085-3199 Niagara St. Niagara Falls, NY. Arrangements entrusted to ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC.
