Obituary for James L. Scott James L. Scott, Sr. age 76, of Elmira, NY passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, August 16, 2018. James was born in Athens, PA to the late Leo and Dorris (Wolcott) Scott. In addition to his parents, James was also preceded in death by his twin brother and his sons; Leroy Scott and Jerry Scott.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn Scott; his daughters, Brenda Woughter and Sheila (Jody) Swarthout; his son, James Scott, Jr.; his grandchildren, Delos and Jesse Carl, Nicholas Hoyles, Michael and Justin Martin, Kayla Carl and Andrew Scott, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. James graduated from Athens, PA. He proudly served his country from 1960-1964.

He was a volunteer fireman for the Webb Mills Fire Department for many years, and is a lifetime member. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family and the outdoors.
