Obituary for Samantha Taylor Lovell Pine City, NY It is with hearts broken with sadness, that the family of Samantha T. Lovell reports her death. She was the beloved daughter of Larry L. Lovell and Cheryl A. Taylor Lovell, and the muchly loved sister of Laurence E. Lovell. Born May 20, 1966 in Warsaw, NY, she died peacefully at home October 16, 2018 after courageously battling Lupus for 20 years and recently Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Enormously talented, she graduated from Elmira Free Academy in 1984, received an A.A.S. degree from Corning Community College, a B.A. degree from Elmira College, and a Medical Terminology Certificate from Elmira Business Institute. While in school, she worked for years at Southern Tier Pediatrics as a Courier and chartroom clerk. After graduation, she worked at Walmart in Maryland, and later the U.S. Census Bureau, Corning Photonics, Bethany Center, as well as temp jobs, before illness disabled her.
A talented artist, she won many awards, played the piano in church, published poems and stories, and also sold crafts. Surviving are her mother, Cheryl A. Taylor Lovell; father, Larry L. Lovell and step-mother, Kimberly Dennison Lovell; brother, Laurence E. Lovell; step-brother, Levi Harvey; step-sister, Samantha Harvey; maternal aunt, Patricia Schwarz (Donald), Nichols, NY; maternal uncles, Frederick Taylor (Cindy), Conesus Lake; Tate Taylor (Susan), Sarasota, FL; paternal aunts, Jacqueline Welles, Big Flats; Dr. Lola Heverly (John), St. Cloud, FL; Melva Stamp, Kissimmee, FL; broken-hearted cousins, extended family, numerous friends, hundreds of pen-pals throughout the world, and several furry friends. She was beautiful inside and out, and could make you laugh through life’s hardships.
