Obituary for James L. White James L. White, of Farwell, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on Sunday, June 3, at the age of 76. He was born the son of Leland and Kathaleen (Swallow) White on April 21, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant.
On September 10, 1960, he married Joyce Ingram. They were happily together for more than 57 years, having four children, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. They moved to Farwell from Mt.
Pleasant in 1974. Jim had worked for 15 years as an oilfield transport driver before working another 20 years as a Truck Driver for Fisher Transport. He and Joyce also owned and operated Adult Foster Care Homes for over 20 years.
He was a member of the Farwell Church of Christ. Jim’s favorite pass time was golfing with his wife and friends. He was an avid snowmobiler, loved gadgets, working in his pole barn, fishing, and camping.
James is survived by his sister Donna Stashi of Sault Ste Marie, his wife, Joyce, his children, Mike (Robin) White of Bradenton, Fla. , Kim White of Farwell, Ron (Amy) White of Farwell, and Mary Kay (Russell) Sian also of Farwell, his grandchildren; Heather, Kari, Katelynn, Ryon, Caron, Katheron, Nichole, and Meigan, and his great-grandchildren; Alyssa, Leeland, Makaylee, and Isabella. Jim was preceded in death by his grandson, Nathan, his brother, Ronald White, and sister, Carol Panganis-White.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 7, at 11:00 AM at the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home, 165 S. Hall St., Farwell, Mich. , with Pastor Richard Maxwell officiating. His final place of rest will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mt.
Pleasant. Friends may meet with his family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM. Memorials may be made to the Mid-Michigan VNA-Hospice, or to the Clare County Senior Services.
