On April 20th, 2018 heaven gained another imperfect Angel. James went home to be with family, friends and Jesus. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Janice (Lomb) daughter Shanna, son in law Joseph and two granddaughters, Leighann and Adaline and his 8 brothers and sisters, Theodore C. Ley III, Susan (Ray) Herdlick, John (Michele) Ley, Karen Macek (Late John), Richard G. Ley (Julie Cady), Eileen White (Pat), Stephen Ley and Mary Jane Schnurer (Robert).

He was proceeded in death by his father Theodore C Ley Jr and his mother Ellen (Martin) Ley Fincher. He served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1971-1975. While his passing was sudden and unexpected we know he is no longer in pain and is at peace.

Friends will be received at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Road on Monday April 23, 2018 from 6-9 P.M. and Tuesday April 24, 2018 from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3:30 p.m. with an additional viewing being held from 6-8 p.m. He will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Thursday April 26, 2018 at 1 p.m. His family would like to thank all the wonderful aides, nurses, therapists and doctors at the Beaver Medical Center and HealthSouth Sewickley, for the care they provided Him.
