James Matthew Figlan, age 37, of Washington Township, passed away March 17, 2019. He was born September 8, 1981 in Royal Oak. Jim was a graduate of Royal Oak Dondero High School, Class of 2000.

He went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Oakland University and his master’s degree in business management from Wayne State University. Jim was then accepted into the University of Michigan ROTC program. After serving in the Air Force, he served as Captain in the Army Reserve.

In addition to being an avid Detroit sports fan, Jim also enjoyed golfing, fishing and woodworking. Loving son of Ronald and the late Julia Figlan. Dear brother of Dawn (Adam) Klemp.

Proud uncle of Brandon, Colin and Ethan. He will also be missed by his beloved dog, Buddy. Visitation Friday, March 29th, from 5-7 pm at the Wm.

Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road (4 blocks E of Woodward), Royal Oak. In state Saturday, March 30th, from 9:30 am until the time of Mass 10 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 S Lafayette Avenue, Royal Oak. Burial at Guardian Angel Cemetery, Oakland Township.
