James Michael Turner, known to all his loved ones as “Mike,” departed this life on June 24, 2018 at Genesis HealthCare Westfield Center in Westfield, New Jersey. Mike was born on October 7, 1958 in Plainfield, New Jersey — the eldest son of Clara Judge Turner and the late James Maurice Turner. He resided with his parents and his younger brothers throughout his childhood and his teenage years, where his joyful exuberance was a ray of sunshine to his family on a daily basis.

During… Read More » his adulthood, Mike made his home in several municipalities throughout the state of New Jersey, including Montgomery Township, Union Township, and Westfield. Over the course of those many years, frequent visits with his family kept him youthful in body and in spirit. His father, James Maurice Turner, precedes him in death.

Mike is survived by his mother, Clara Turner of Plainfield; two brothers, Kevin (Tonya) and Garrett, both of Plainfield; his niece Ebony Turner; his uncle Clarence Orr Sr. (Dorothy); his aunts Clementine Orr and Evelyn Jane Hallums; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
