Obituary for James Monroe Tasker Print James Monroe Tasker, 61, of Lumberport, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Clarksburg, May 29, 1957, a son of the late Kenneth and Marcella J. Robinson Tasker. Surviving are his sister, Lee Ann Britton, Franklin, WV, his close cousin, Cathy Robinson, Shinnston, his cousins Jeff Robinson, J.D. Robinson, Greg Robinson, and several other cousins, his aunts and uncles, Robert and Elizabeth Leeson, Franklin, and James D. Robinson, Beckley.

He was also preceded in death by his uncle and aunt, Charles and Janice Robinson, and his cousin Eugene Robinson. Mr. Tasker was a member of the Jones Run Independent Church. He was formerly employed at the Zeising Plant in Spelter and most recently at the Go Mart in Shinnston.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and NASCAR, being a Jeff Gordon fan. The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8pm, Sunday where funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, February 18, with Rev. Garry Layfield officiating.
