James Owen Glassco, 85, of Smith Mills, KY passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN. Mr. Glassco was born September 16, 1933 to the late Tom and Emma Glassco in Henderson, KY. He was a Corporal with the U.S. Marines and a Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Fleeger; two brothers, Thomas Glassco, William Negley Glassco and one sister, Ruby Jenkins.

Mr. Glassco is survived by his wife of 32 years, Betty Glassco; two children, James “Jimmy” Martin (Tammy), Donna Veazey (Terry); one brother, Bob Glassco (Georgia Ann); he was Papaw Jim to 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 19, 2018, 1:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Ron Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Rites conducted by American Legion Post 40.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018, 4:00-8:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson and Wednesday, September 19, 2018, 11:00AM-1:00PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Leland Leslie, Nathan Veazey, Justin Veazey, James Martin, Steven Martin and Dakota Martin.
