Obituary for Martha Dean Walker Martha Dean Walker, age 89, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 2:34 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. Martha had been a member of Immanuel Baptist Temple for most of her life. She worked in the nursey at IBT for over 25 years and everyone knew her as “Miss Martha”.

Martha was a self-taught seamstress and loved to cook, she was known for her potato salad, cakes and rolls. She enjoyed playing rook and most of all spending time with her family. Martha was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Lola Newman, her husband Rudy Walker, her son-in-law Ronnie L. Marable, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers.

Martha is survived by her daughter Peggy Marable; her son Otis Walker and his wife Carol; 4 grandchildren: Kelly Meuth, Rachel Roop, Lyndsey Womack, McKenzie Marable; and 6 great grandchildren: Zack Meuth, Ryan Meuth, Clay Meuth, Baylee Womack, Beckham Womack, Blake Womack. Relatives and friends are invited to Martha’s Life Celebration from 9 :00 a.m. until the service time on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday with Pastor Andy Weaver officiating.

Entombment will follow in Fairmont Mausoleum in Henderson, KY. Pallbearers will be Dax Womack, Dean Roop, Clay Meuth, Ryan Meuth, Matt Meuth, and Zack Meuth. Honorary pallbearer will be Beckham Womack.
