Obituary for Aaron Wood Aaron Wood, age 43, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 11:01 p.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his mother and father after a courageous two year battle against cancer. Aaron was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert Wood and Joyce Norton, maternal grandparents, Kenneth Pigg and Vivian Pigg, and his uncle, Kenneth Lee Pigg. Aaron earned his bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Illinois.

He furthered his education at the University of Southern Indiana earning his MBA. He worked in finance for more than two decades and was ultimately CEO of Sterling Federal Credit Union. Aaron was grateful to be blessed with loving parents and a successful career and regretted only the fact that he didn’t have more time to be the father he wanted to be for his children.

Survivors include: Parents: Rondel and Kathy Wood of Mt. Vernon, IL Children: Kaitlyn, Coleson, and AJ all of Henderson, KY 1 Sister: Kena Rogers and her husband Chuck and their children, Kaylee and Natalee of McKinney, TX Aunts: Cheryl Schubach and her children (Aaron’s cousins), Kim, Lana, and Miranda, Karen Bowdler and her children (Aaron’s cousins), John and Sheila Cousin (more like a Brother): Nathan Pigg Special friends: Tammy and Lonnie Garrett, Terry Emerick, and Rick Koonce A celebration of Aaron’s life will be celebrated on August 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Firedome Pizza and Wings in Henderson, KY.
