Obituary for Maranda Staser Berry Maranda Louise Staser Berry, age 94, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 10:17 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Lucy Smith King Care Center, under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. Maranda was born on October 31,1923 in Smith Mills, Ky. She was a life long member of Hyland Baptist Church.

Maranda was a seamstress for many years at the Audubon Hosiery Mill and CBS Dress Factory. She married John Berry on July 19, 1941 and they raised two sons together. Maranda became a homemaker, which suited her well, as she loved cooking and gardening.

In addition to her parents George and Sarah Beck Staser, Maranda was preceded in death by her husband, John, one son, Charles, and all her siblings. Survivors include: Son: Glenn Berry 2 Grandchildren: Julie Berry and Matthew Berry 2 Great Grandchildren: Ayla Berry and Archer Berry Nieces and Nephews Relatives and friends are invited to Maranda’s Life Celebration from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, August 6, 2018 and again on Tuesday starting at 9:00 am. at Tapp Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Kenny Kidd officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
