Obituary for Mary Louise Gibson Mary Louise Gibson, age 92, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 4:45 a.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson, KY. Mary worked at Dixie Mart as a cashier for many years. She enjoyed hand quilting, piecing quilts, and sewing.

In addition to her parents, Oscar and Catherine Staashelm, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Dorris Gibson, Sr.; her son, Dorris “Buddy” Gibson, Jr.; twin sister, Frances Brockman; sister, Ruth Dann; and her brother, Rudolph Staashelm. Survivors include: daughter, Donna Crumley and her husband Alan of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Katie O’Farrell and her husband Kevin, David Crumley and his wife Tara, and Tina Orr and her husband Brandon; great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Gavin, Brooke, Tayah, William, and James. Relatives and friends are invited to Mary’s Life Celebration from 10:00 a.m. until the service time Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Father Tyler Tenbarge officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Henderson, KY. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice, 2410 S. Green St., Henderson, KY 42420.
