Obituary for Betty Reynolds Betty Lykins Reynolds, age 85, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 12:26 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at her own home, under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. In addition to her parents, Darlie and Grace Lykins, Betty was preceded in death by; her husband, Herman Atwood Reynolds; brothers, Howard Lykins, Jay Lykins, Willard Lykins, and Jack Lykins; sisters, Virginia McCulley, and Arlene Griggs. Betty was a proud homemaker who raised her family with love and affection.
She attended Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church for many years. When she was able, Betty enjoyed playing tennis. Children gave Betty great joy; whether it was her grandchildren, nieces, or nephews, they all delighted her.
Family was the most important thing in Betty’s life. Betty is survived by son; Monty D. Reynolds and his wife Cathy of Henderson, KY, daughters; Debbie Knight and her husband John of Noblesville, IN and Linda Farris and her husband Frank of Bowling Green, KY, brother; Raymond Lykins and his wife Lynda of Jacksonville, FL, sister; Brenda Margelot and her husband Ernie of Sebree, KY, grandchildren; Joshua Reynolds and his wife Melissa, Justin Reynolds, and Brandon Melton, great-grandson: Ethan Reynolds, and a host of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Betty’s Life Celebration from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and again on Saturday starting at 10:00 a.m. at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., September 15, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice 2410 S. Green St., Henderson, KY 42420.
