James’ Obituary BALDWIN, James P. “Jim” – Of Grand Blanc, age 82, died Friday, February 1, 2019 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Hank Messing officiating. Cremation will take place following the service.

Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association. Visitation 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Jim was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on October 4, 1936, the son of the late Manuel and Gladys (White) Baldwin.

He married Shirley Rapoza on March 14, 1998 in Kalkaska. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Linden VFW and Teamsters. Jim was a truck driver for 25 years, which took him all over the country.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for eight years. He loved the outdoors, hunting and salmon fishing in Alaska. He was an experienced pilot, enjoyed riding motorcycles and bull riding.

Above all he loved to be with his family. Surviving are wife, Shirley; step-children, Henry, Becky (Pete), Tony (Erica), Rick (Brandy) and Brian; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bob (Suzanne) and Skip (Roberta); many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mike.
