James’ Obituary James Richard “Jim” Davis, 93, Noblesville, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Hamilton Trace in Fishers. He was born on February 28, 1926, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to J. Elmer and Marie Eva (Siebert) Davis. Jim was graduated from Fort Wayne High School in 1944 and received a bachelor’s degree from Butler University in 1956.

He served in the U. S. Army Air Force during WWII and retired at the rank of staff sergeant in 1952. He retired as an insurance broker for Farm Bureau and had served as a bus driver for the Hamilton Southeastern School Corporation. Jim was a member of the Noblesville American Legion Post 45.

He is survived by a niece, Stefanie Nies. James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Luise; and a brother, Edward. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana.

Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Fishers. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverview Health Foundation.
