James S. Kruse, 79, of the Lake Geneva Area died this morning. Born James Samuel Kruse to the late Vern and Florence Kruse in Elgin Illinois on October 28th, 1939 in Elgin, Illinois. On October 6th, 1982 James was united into marriage to Beverly Bloom in Las Vegas, Nevada.

James was the founding member of the Crystal Lake Anglers Fishing Club in Crystal Lake, Illinois. When James wasn’t out fishing he was hunting, he was a man who loved the outdoors. James is survived by his wife of 35 years Beverly.

9 children survive James: Samuel, Linda, Laura, Audrey, Missy, Ken, and Kathy Kruse, Laura Urban of Naperville and Steve (Brianna) Deering of Lake Geneva. Services for James will be held on Saturday July 7th, 2018 at 1:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00am till the time of service.
