OBITUARY James Sandlin Yearby August 26, 1945 – October 16, 2018 James “Sandy” Yearby, 73, formerly from Dunn, passed on October 16th at Brookdale Southpark in Charlotte, NC. Sandy was born August 26, 1945 in Harnett County to the late Margaret Sandlin and James T. Yearby. Sandy worked for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools for 40 years and was an exceptional teacher at Cochrane Middle School.

He loved to work in his garden and cared for his mother in her later years. Sandy truly will be missed. Sandy is survived by his three daughters, Vickie, Amy, and Susan.

Sandy had a lovely service at Resurrection Church in Charlotte on Oct 24, 2018. He will be laid to rest following a short graveside service at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn, with Rev. Beth Gaines officiating.
