OBITUARY Mrs. Lucille Ross November 29, 1941 – November 2, 2018 Carrie “Lucille” Wrench Ross, age 76, of Erwin, passed away at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital Friday, November 2, 2018. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 2 pm at Redemption Hill Church, Erwin, NC. Burial will occur at Erwin Memorial Park immediately following the service.

Lucille was born November 29, 1941, in Harnett County to the late Millard and Lillie Irene Williams Wrench. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Ross; brothers Millard E. Wrench and Marvin Wrench; sisters Ruby James, Margaret Jones, and Wilma Edwards; and grandson Jonathan Dillon. Surviving family members are her sons Walt Edwards (Rhonda) and Anthony Ross, of Erwin; brothers Bill Wrench (Sherry) of Newland and Leslie Wrench of Godwin; grandchildren Jessica Edwards McCaskill (Matt) of Whispering Pines, Andrew Edwards and Brian Ross of Erwin; and great granddaughter Kaleigh Dillon.

Lucille worked many years for Erwin Mills, most remembered for managing the Burlington Employee Store. She also spent a number of years working for Good Hope Hospital in the mental health facility, and later with The Little River Baptist Association. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

The family will receive friends at Cromartie – Miller Funerals & Cremations in Dunn on Saturday, November 3rd from 7 – 9pm, and at other times at the home of Walt and Rhonda Edwards in Erwin. Flowers are welcomed; however contributions to the American Cancer Society are also appreciated.
