James’ Obituary James Slagle was born June 29, 1939 and departed this life Tuesday, March 5, 2019 reaching the age of 79 years. He was the son of the late Perk and Nola Slagle. He is survived by: one daughter, Brenda Kempton (Eddie); two grandchildren, Kassy and Matthew Kempton.

He is also survived by: three brothers, David, Danny, and Randy Slagle; and one sister, Barbara Ringley; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Roy and Bruce Slagle. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 9, 2019 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Slagle Hollow Cemetery.
