Hartselle Funeral service for James Steven “Pete” Reeves, 60, will be Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stanley Reeves and Bro. Steve Barber officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in New Center Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Mr. Reeves died on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at his residence.

He was born July 16, 1957, in Morgan County to Merl James Reeves and Lillian Bernice Smith Reeves, who preceded him in death. He was employed by C & L Wood Products as a Supervisor and Forklift operator. He was a member of Summerbrook Church of God of Prophecy, where he played guitar and he was an avid musician.

He loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father and “Papa Pete”. He will be missed by those that loved him so dearly.

Survivors include : his Wife: Dianne Haggermaker Reeves, Hartselle, AL Two Sons: Stephen Reeves (Ashleigh), Melbourne, FL and Joshua Reeves, Somerville, AL One Daughter: Deanna Dillehay (Tony), Somerville, AL Three Brothers: Stanley Reeves, Somerville, AL, Dan Reeves (Linda), Somerville, AL and Mike Reeves (Teresa), Speake, AL Four Sisters: Patricia Mason, Somerville, AL, Sue Engle, Somerville, AL, Beverly Jones (Joe), Somerville, AL and Jan Clark (Aaron), Somerville, AL Thirteen Grandchildren Three Great Grandchildren Pallbearers will be Cody Wimberly, Jud Dillehay, Landon Engle, Ben Engle, Matt Cooper, and Rusty Cooper.
