Falkville Funeral service for Phillip Wayne Penn, 60, will be Monday, June 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Phil Waldrop, Bro.

Marty Hand and Bro. Charlie Brown officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. His body will lie in state, for one hour prior to the service, at the Church.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Mr. Penn died on Thursday, June 14, 2018.

He was born October 24, 1957, in South Carolina to J. Wayne Penn and Gloria Ann Johnson Penn. Phillip graduated from Daleville High School and played baseball while attending Enterprise State Junior College and at the University of North Alabama. He graduated from University of Alabama in Huntsville with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and was employed at Huntsville Hospital as a CVICU/CVOR nurse.

Phillip was active with friends of Dr. Bob and Bill W. He loved Alabama football and was fondly known as “Daddy Phil” by his daughter, Casey and his granddaughters: Sydney and Abbey.
