Obituary for James Stewart James Elden (Jim) Stewart passed on to join his beloved wife Ginna Maye and to meet his savior on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Jim was born February 26, 1956 in Springfield, Ohio, the fourth child of John H. and Dorothy E. Stewart. He attended Northwestern High School, served in the United States Navy, and was an avid Ohio State Football fan.

Jim lived in Memphis, TN for many years and worked as the Safety Director for JFF Trucking. He was involved in many community and charitable activities as a Mason and Shriner and in their work with St. Jude’s Hospital. He and Ginna later moved to Jackson, MS where they opened and operated a cake and confection business, “The Fat Cake Guy”, until Ginna’s passing in 2015.

Jim had a big heart and a big smile and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by one son, Ian Baxter-Stewart (Andrea) of Tucson, AZ; siblings Beth Stewart Ozark (Norm) of South Carolina, Bill Stewart of Enon, OH, and Barb Stewart of Springfield, OH; Ginna’s extended Whittington family of Jackson, MS; many special friends at Bonnie Blair’s Sports Café in Brandon, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 23 years, Ginna Maye Whittington Stewart.
