James’ Obituary James T. Rooney of Bristol died comfortably at Chandler Hall Hospice on Sunday, February 10, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was 87. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mr. Rooney was an original homeowner in Bristol Township where he has resided for over sixty years.

Mr. Rooney worked in the flooring industry for many years but in the latter part of his career he worked as the maintenance supervisor at Today, Inc. where he touched many young lives and was most fulfilled. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Father of the late James T. Rooney Jr., Mr. Rooney is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Dolores A.; his daughters, Dolores “Dee” Harrison (Peter) and Diane Legates; grandchildren, Allan Legates and Ryan and Bradford Harrison and great grandchildren, Cole and James Legates.

He will also be missed by his sister, Margaret Jacques and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Services and interment will be private, but the family suggests honoring Jim’s memory by keeping him in your thoughts and prayers.
