JAMES W. TIREY III, 82, of Sidney passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 10:31 PM at Wilson Health. He was born on January 12, 1936 in Anna, Ohio, the son of the late Dr. James W. and Patricia (Maynard) Tirey II. He is survived by one step-sister, Darlene Burriss.

James was preceded in death by five siblings, Gary Tirey, Joseph Tirey, Peg Tirey, Linda Cook, and Cheryl Hughes and step-mother, Esther Tirey. Mr. Tirey retired from Copeland Corporation as a laborer after many years of employment. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1967-1970 during the Vietnam era.

James loved going to the YMCA and the library in Sidney. He loved spending time with all his family. He was a member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church in Anna.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday July 11, 2018 at 11 AM at Cromes – Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave Sidney with Pastor Douglas Meyer officiating. Military honors will be performed by the United States Army following the service. Friends may call from 10:30 AM up until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the YMCA or Amos Memorial Public Library in James honor. Condolences may be expressed to the Tirey family at our website, www.
