James’ Obituary James William “Jimmy” Raines, 24, of Ellerbe, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Duke University Hospital in Durham. Jimmy was born October 1, 1994 in Moore County, a son of Jeff Raines and Kim Mullis Walker. He was a graduate of Richmond Early College, Class of 2013 and Embry Riddle Aeronautical School, Class of 2017.

He was employed with Jedediah Farms and Summer Duck Farm. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. Surviving are his parents, Jeff Raines and wife Daphne of Bladenboro, Kim Walker and husband Johnny of Wagram; sister, Taylor Raines of Wagram, Jordan Walker of Wagram and Holly Green of Bladenboro; brothers, Ryan Walker of Wagram and Hunter Green of Bladenboro; and grandparents, Don and Faye Raines of Rockingham and Larry and Vicki Mullis of Rockingham.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday, March 25, 2019 at Crestview Baptist Church with Rev. Robby Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery.

The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
