Obituary of James Venchuk James J. Venchuk, age 91, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Born January 10, 1927 in Chicago, he was the son of the late Peter and Pauline (nee Fietz) Venchuk. Four brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.

Jim was a proud World War II veteran of the United States Army, and worked many years as a shipping foreman for Fleetwood Systems. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed a long retirement and was an active participant in the life of his granddaughter. He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and will be remembered for his dependability and reliability.

Surviving are his devoted son, James L. (Alison) Venchuk of Western Springs, IL; and his loving granddaughter, Alexandra Venchuk of Western Springs and attending Indiana University. Services for James J. Venchuk will be private. Fred C. Dames Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
