Jameson Scott Ballard passed away October 16, 2018 from complication of Diabetes. Jameson was born on October 2, 1989 in Provo, Utah. He graduated from Springville High School in 2007, and also received a culinary degree from MATC that same year.

Jameson graduated with honors and went onto serve a 2-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to the Spokane Washington Mission. Jameson would have completed his bachelor’s degree in April of 2019.

Jameson has worked since returning from his mission to pay for his college education. Those who had the pleasure of working with Jameson commented, “Jameson was loyal, dependable, and honest. We loved his excitement over small things.

Obviously, God needed his pure spirit for His own purposes. We hope there is Mountain Dew in Heaven”. Jameson has been an artist since he was young.

He won an award for his artwork in elementary school from Zion’s Bank, and continued to show his art at the Springville Art Museum. Jameson has continued to pursue animation as his career goal. Jameson loved to create new food combinations and was known to add ketchup and ranch dressing.

Sometimes it was better to not know what the combination of ingredients were. Jameson was creative, and you could always count on him for a new concoction. Jameson loved life.

He embraced building new relationships and shared his generous heart with those that were lucky enough to know him. Jameson is sorely missed by his family, friends and co-workers. Jameson is survived by his mother and father, Jeff and Anne Ballard, siblings: Bethany B. McKinney, Caitlin Page Ossmen, Carson, Carleigh, McKenna, Hannah and Jefferson Ballard.

He is also survived by his maternal grandparents: Reid and Nelva Merrell of American Fork. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nyman Funeral Home. Jameson’s funeral will be held at the Fruitland Acres Ward in Providence at the address of: 465 North 300 East, Providence, Utah.

A viewing will be 9:00-9:45 am, and funeral services will begin at 10:00 am. Jameson will then be interred at the Providence City Cemetery, 925 River Heights Blvd. , Logan Utah.
