Jan W. Flemming, age 72, of Avoca, Iowa, passed away April 9, 2018 at CHI Mercy Hospital. He was born in Council Bluffs on June 17, 1945 to the late Kenneth and Vivian (Mumby) Flemming. Jan is survived by his wife, Lois Flemming; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Melissa Flemming; daughter, Sue Matthews; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Norma Flemming; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Ron Emberton; grandchildren, Kelsey Flemming, Brady Flemming (Lynsey Rohatsch), Whitney… Read More » Matthews, Zachary Matthews, Reese Cornelsen and Robbie Cornelsen; mother-in-law, Mary Klindt; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Wednesday April 11, 2018 at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 11:00a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Interment is later that afternoon in the Minden, Iowa Cemetery.
