Jane Keller Kallinich, the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Kallinich and a long time resident of Guilford, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on April 27, 2018. Jane was born in Hartford, Connecticut on April 14, 1934 and was a graduate of Weaver High School. She married Bob in 1953 and the family settled in Guilford.

Jane loved cooking, baking and canning and over the years, she won many awards at the Guilford Fair.

She was a member and past president of the Guilford Garden Club and enjoyed tending to her gardens. Jane shared her passion for gardening with her children and grandchildren. She was also a volunteer at Connecticut Hospice in Branford and would bring her flower arrangements to those she visited.

Jane was happiest when she was entertaining and her house was full of family and friends. Jane is survived by her cherished family; her son Robert (Gail) and her daughters Karen Gauvin, Susan Vollhardt and Wendy Kallinich and her grandchildren, William, James (Kayla) and Molly Kallinich, Lisa, Kevin and Megan Gauvin, Lindsey (Minh) Vollhardt-Tran and Laura (Trey) Whalen, and Evan Chapman. She was the proud GiGi of Nola Whalen and Eyas Tran.

She is also survived by her brother-in-law Jack Kallinich and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Bob, Jane was predeceased by her son-in-law Charlie Vollhardt. Friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, May 5 from 11a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford followed by a memorial services 1 p.m. at the Guilford Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane’s memory may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT 06405.
