Jane M. Clark-Thompson, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 17, 2019. Jane was born on September 11, 1936, in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Walter and Mildred (Seeling) Stults. She married William Clark on March 2, 1957 and they later divorced.

She married Frank Thompson on June 24, 2000 and he preceded her in death. At the end of her working career, she retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by four daughters, Debbie Kane, Diane McCoy, Denise (Dean) Capps, and Dana (Jim) Caples; two sons, John and Jerry Clark; ten grandchildren, Hollie Scantlebury (Dee Holloway), William C. Kane, Jaclyn, Randy McCoy, Anna (Sam Wolf) McCoy, Cody Caples, Allison (Evan Dial) Clark, Grace (Dominic Pointer) Clark, Kaitlyn (Jeremy Wheeler) Clark, and Mitchel (Lexi Dragoo) Clark; ten great grandchildren; special family friend, Scott Viniard; two brothers, Richard and Bob Stults; and one sister Pat Pettit; and several nieces, nephews. Visitation will be held from 3-5 PM on Sunday, February 24 at Ellinger- Kunz & Park Funeral Home, 530 N. 5th Street, Springfield, IL. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Monday February 25 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1345 N. 6th street, Springfield, IL.
