Janet D. Olson, age 77 of Chisago City, MN passed on Monday, January 07, 2019 at the U of M Hospital. Janet was born on October 26, 1941 in Rush City, MN to parents, Harold and Eleanor (Selman) Peterson. The family resided in North Branch where Janet attended school and graduated in 1959.

She married Dale Olson on October 1, 1960 at the Methodist Church in North Branch and she was blessed with 57 years of marriage together. Janet was known as a people person who enjoyed traveling, and sitting down to read a good romance novel, and a gossip magazine.

Janet enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Janet is survived by her sons Bart (Gloria) Olson of Lindstrom, MN and Brent (special friend Anne) of Minneapolis, her five grandchildren, and two great grandsons as well as sister Sharon (Lee) Morin of Chisago City, and her daughter in law Carrie Olson of Woodbury. She is preceded in death by her husband Dale, son Brian, parents Harold and Eleanor, and sister Carolyn.
