Janet E. Spray, 77, of Columbus, OH embarked on her journey to Heaven on Friday, January 11, 2019, in Danbury Senior Living with her loving sister Joan, and special friend Jean by her side. Janet was born November 26, 1941 in Little Falls, NY to the late Albert and Elizabeth Ladeau. She was a graduate of Findlay High School and attended Bowling Green State University, and later began her career as a Food Broker for grocers, and eventually began working for St. Brendan Catholic Church in their music department.

Janet was a devout catholic and lived her life to the fullest knowing her Lord was omni-present. She enjoyed helping people in any way she could, especially her Danbury community. Janet was a member of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church and kept their prayer list up to date, and an active member of the Prayer Shawl ministry for years.

She volunteered for the Worthington Library; receiving her a “Volunteer of the Year” award. Materialistic items meant little to Janet; however, being a servant to others meant the world to her. Her organizational skills were second to none; she kept everyone and everything in tip-top order.

Many people crossing paths with Janet in life would often become a beneficiary of her quiet generosity. In her spare time Janet loved to read, knit and volunteer helping others. Surviving Janet is her sister; Joan Barkenquast of Maumee, OH, aunts and numerous nieces and nephews, special friend; Jean Dillmore and former husband; Robert Daniel Spray.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday January 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Father Mark Summers presiding. Inurnment will follow in the chapel mausoleum at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Lewis Center, OH. Memorial contributions in Janet’s name can be made, if desired, to St. Vincent DePaul, C/O St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
