Janet L. (Klingensmith) Kaufman, 65, of Adrian, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday June 26, 2018, after a long illness. Janet was born on November 23, 1952, to Basil and Evelyn (Carly) Klingensmith. She met her husband Joe in 1968 and was married about a year later.

The couple spent 49 wonderful years together. Janet was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was a born again Christian and enjoyed Gospel music and watching the new movies like “Gods Not Dead”, “Gods Not Dead 2”, “Courageous”, “Norman” and “Fireproff” over and over.

Janet volunteered to take many people to hospitals, doctor visits, or even shopping. She drove ambulance for Sugarcreek EMS, starting before it became a paid service in 2001, while battling Crohn’s Disease. After her mother and father became ill Janet drove them to all hospital and doctor visits and took care of their needs until their passing.

She was a loving and kind person that would help anyone in need regardless the cost. Janet also loved playing cards and board games with her parents, family, and friends. She also loved traveling especially going to the beach where she could sit on the balcony and watch the waves rolling up on the sandy beaches.

She enjoyed driving family and friends to bingo in West Virginia, and once drove her family to New Jersey to her uncle’s funeral. She never asked for much but was content with what God had given her. Janet left behind her husband Joe; two sons, Timothy Kaufman and companion Diane Lees, Robert Kaufman and wife Heidi; grandson, Mason Kaufman and wife Kimmie; great grandson, Jason; granddaughter, Sierra Kaufman; sister, Joan Reid of Kittanning; aunt, Mildred of Erie; cousins, Sara and husband Stan Smolen of Ford City, Kathy Kreminic of Erie, and James (Patty) Emminger of Florida; brothers-in-law, David Lash of Adrian, Pete Kaufman of Cowansville, John (Sandy) Kaufman of Spartansburg, and Jeff (Janet) Kaufman of Cowansville; sisters-in-law, Mary Stitt (David) of Adrian, Barb Bowser (Bill) of Cowansville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers William “Bill”, and Robert “Bob” Klingensmith; sisters-in-law, Judy Lash, Judy Kaufman; and brother-in-law, Frank Beham. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 pm at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with additional visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

Interment will be in the Sherrett Cemetery.
