Janet Yaillen, age 85, passed away on February 3, 2019. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Edith Gould; husband, Earl Yaillen; brother-in-law, Ronald Durchslag. She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Judy) Yaillen, Alan (Laurie) Yaillen and Barry (John Fisher) Yaillen; sister, Elaine Durchslag; brother, Ralph (Maxine) Gould; grandchildren, Noam Yaillen, Goldi (Joseph) Sibony and Aliza Yaillen; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A native of Milwaukee, Janet and Earl moved to 7 different cities and in each city made an impact on the Jewish Community lasting to this day thanks in large part to Janet’s continuing communication with multiple friends from those communities. Janet was a longstanding member of Cong. Tifereth Israel where she helped implement the Sunday evening minyan and regularly attended on Shabbat.

Treasured volunteer for many organizations including, Torah Fund, Tifereth Israel Sisterhood flower fund, Shalom House, B’nai B’rith Women, Hadassah, Wexner Heritage Village and Zusman Hospice. She brought people joy through her baking and special friendship. Funeral services and interment will be held in Milwaukee, WI.

The family will receive friends at 4pm followed by a memorial service at 5:00pm on Thursday, February 7th at Congregation Tifereth Israel, 1354 E. Broad St. Shiva will be observed at Kensington Place, 1001 Parkview Blvd. on Thursday from 10am-1pm, Friday from 10am-12pm, Saturday from 7-9pm, Sunday 10am-1pm and 3-9pm.
