Janice L. McCoppin, age 83, of Wilmington, OH, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Bethesda North Hospital. She was born June 16, 1934 in Clinton County, OH, daughter of the late Lester Leroy and Helen Louise Roberts Baumaster. Janice retired as the Head Cook for Wilmington Junior High School after 26 years of service and also was a former employee of Linton’s Dairy and ABX Air Inc

She also had volunteered at the Clinton Memorial Hospital where she had 17,000 service hours. She was a member of New Vienna Eastern Star, the Wilmington Modern Homemakers, Turning The Corner, Retired Employees of Wilmington School System, the Wilmington Savings Bank Senior Center and had attended the Martinsville United Methodist Church. Surviving are son, Robert Lester (Brenda) McCoppin of Wilmington, son, Gary Alan (Diana) McCoppin of Wilmington, sister, Judith Ann Proto of Wilmington, Brother, Larry Lester Baumaster of Scottsdale, AZ, grandson, Ryan (Amy) McCoppin of Dayton, grandson, Brent (Madisson) McCoppin of Southeast Asia, and two great-granddaughters, Wendy Grace and Bella.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Duane McCoppin and sister, Donna Jean Evans. Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. James Weible officiating.

Interment will follow in the Martinsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH Thursday, June 7, 2018, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm with Eastern Star Services being held at 8:00 p.m. Contributions in Janice’s name may be made to the Eastern Star.
