Janie was born October 3, 1932 in White County, GA to the late Willis Palmer and Susie London and was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brodnax is preceded in death by her husband Carlton S. Brodnax, brothers, Loy Palmer, Jimmy Palmer, Robert Palmer, and Marvin Palmer, sister, Cora Pruitt. Survivors include son Joel (Heather) Brodnax of Thomaston, sister, Nell Palmer of Cleveland, GA. , grand children, Reeve Thomas Brodnax, Justin Elliott Brodnax, Brittany Faith O’Callaghan, and Ireland Aliese Stubbs.

Funeral services will be Sunday February 17, 2019 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Southview Cemetary. Family will receive friends Sunday February 17, 2019 from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.
