Jared Josslyn Spencer, Sr., was born February 19, 1983, in Wilmington, DE to Dorma and Josslyn Spencer, in Wilmington, Delaware. He departed this life May 6, 2019, in Christiana Hospital, surrounded by his loving wife. Jared, received his early education in the Wilmington public school system.

He worked as a bus operator for First Transit Bus Service. Jared met Shamica, and in 2011 they married . From this union, they raised two sons.

Jared was the oldest twin, which were the youngest of the children. He loved his twin brother, Jachin. Coming from a large family he enjoyed being with family.

He was definitely a family man who enjoyed life, being married and spending time with his children. He was a chef in his own right, he loved to cook. Watching Star Wars and reading a Marvel Comic book or watching all their movies, was his favorite past time.

His favorite team was the Cincinnati Bengals. Jared leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Shamicha; sons, Jahleel and Jared, Jr.; parents, Dorma and Josslyn Spencer; his siblings, and a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life for Jared Spencer will be 11:00-2:30pm, Saturday, May 18, 2019 at DAP Center, 2201 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware 19805.
