Obituary for Jared Scott Philbrook CHATHAM, Jared Scott Philbrook, age 37, of 315 S. Main St. Apt. 105 Chatham, VA, entered into rest on October 11, 2018 at SOVAH Health in Danville. He was born on October 21, 1980, in Williamsport, PA, the son of Scott William Philbrook and Catherine Small Philbrook.
After graduating from Teamwork Bible College International with a Pastoral Counselor Degree he was a missionary to Tanzania with the Teamwork City of Hope in East Africa. He loved the Lord and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Sherri Williams of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Joel (Danielle) Philbrook of Chapel Hill, NC and Caleb (Sara) Philbrook of Collinsville; four nephews, Evan Philbrook, Conner Williams, Simon Philbrook, and Seth Philbrook; three nieces, Courtney Pope, Charlotte Philbrook, and Celeste Philbrook; and a great-nephew, Wyatt Castner.
Memorial services will be conducted at Scott Funeral Home on Wednesday October 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive one hour prior to the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Teamwork City of Hope, PO Box 4001 Martinsville, VA 24115, teamworkcityofhope.com.
