Of Ocean Road in Narragansett and formerly of Woodstock Lane in Cranston, passed away peacefully, on Monday, June 4, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of Salvatore “Sam” DeVincenzo. They were married for 62 years.

Besides her husband, Jean is survived by her loving daughters, Kim Nardolillo and her husband Bobby, and Gina Giarrusso and her husband Angelo, all of Narragansett. She was the cherished “Gra” to her five grandchildren, State Representative Robert A. Nardolillo, III and his wife Jacqueline, Ryan J. Nardolillo and his wife Julie, all of Coventry, Giana Giarrusso, Angelo Giarrusso, Jr., and Talia Giarrusso, all of Narragansett. Gra also adored her two great grandchildren, Rocco and Milania Nardolillo.

Born in Providence, Jean was a daughter of Gustavo and Louise (D’Abbraccio) Gesualdo. She was the dear sister of Gustavo Gesualdo of Maine, and the late Estelle Frageorgia and Lawrence “Henry” Gesualdo. Jean was the first woman teller employed for the Providence Tax Division and was the owner and operator of the former JD Jewelry Company in Providence.

Jean was a devoted Catholic, communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Cranston, former CCD Teacher, and avid Bible reader. She enjoyed playing cards, occasional trips to Foxwoods, but her greatest joy was spending quality time with her family. Jean was an angel in the flesh and now she is an angel in Heaven.

She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston on Saturday, June 9th at 11:00 a.m. VISITING HOURS will be on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Jean’s burial will be private.
