She was born June 24, 1937 in Florala to James Holland Qualls and Carmen Ethel King Qualls. Jean worked in the textile industry in Florala for over 35 years.

She had a love of life and a love for getting things done. Jean did her own yard work and could fix anything. She had an independent nature.

Her biggest legacy, however was the immeasurable mark she left on her family. Known to them as Jean, Mom, and Grandma she will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. Jean was preceded in death by husband, John Sasser, granddaughter, Alexis Worrell, sisters, Marguerite Wood, Shara Castopoulos and Izora Weeks, brothers, James, Edward, Marvin and Harvey Qualls.

She is survived by daughter, Tracy Worrell and husband Dennis of Florala, son, Glen Sasser and wife Charayne of Andalusia, grandchildren, Mahaley Thomas, Elijah Worrell, Layrett Scott, Jessica Masonbrink and Chelsea Worrell Syrus, numberous great grandchildren, brother, Rex Qualls and wife Mary Ann of Florala. Jean is also survived by an abundance of extended love ones including numerous nieces and nephews. Services for Jean Sasser will be announced soon by Evans Funeral Home.
