Jean Hoeninghausen, 82 of Indian River passed away on December 11, 2018 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Jean was born on October 7, 1936 in Saint Clair, MI the daughter of John Simons and Marie (Biskner) Simons. She grew up in Marine City and Algonac and attended school at Algonac High School.

In 1958 she married Warren Hoeninghausen and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage together. Jean loved her grandchildren and her six sons. She was a devoted wife and a good cook.

She enjoyed going to lunch with her friend Ethel and thrift shopping. She was a member of the Indian River Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Jean is survived by her husband Warren Hoeninghausen, sons Scott Hoeninghausen, Roger Hoeninghausen, David Hoeninghausen, Jeffery Hoeninghausen, and Pete Hoeninghausen, grandchildren Teagan, Amanda, Jeana, Caroline (Sean), Jacob, Janinne, Clair, and Eric, great-grandchildren Hollie, Warren, Evelyn, and Madelyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Paul (Pam) Hoeninghausen. There are no services currently planned for Jean. The family was served by the Lintz Funeral Home.
