Obituary of Jean Massay Jean Alva Massay, age 85, of Chatsworth and formerly of Willingboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at home. She was born in Lakewood NJ to the late Clinton and Mariann Grove on March 18, 1933. In 1952 she met the love of her life, Billy J. Massay and the two later married in 1953.

Jean and Billy had three children and she loved being a homemaker. She was proud to be a Navy wife and was devoted to her family. Jean was also very active within the Willingboro community.

She was a member of the original Willingboro Fire House Ladies Auxiliary and dedicated many years to the Fire Company. She was also the founder of the Blue Sapphire Baton Corp. Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Jean is predeceased by her parents, Clinton and Mariann Grove (nee Miller) and her adored husband Billy J. Massay. She leaves behind her two sons, Jimmy Massay and his wife Eileen of Chatsworth NJ and Guy Massay of Beverly NJ; her daughter Susan Brenner and her husband Keith of Bordentown NJ; her 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2PM at the Brig.

General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown NJ 08562. If planning to attend services for Jean, please arrive no later than 1:45PM to the cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to the Deborah Hospital Foundation P.O. Box 820 Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
