Jeanella’s Obituary Jeanella “Mick” Long, 86, a lifelong resident of Colfax Township, entered fully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Saturday January 19, 2019 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born September 15, 1932, to the late Angus R. MacDonald and Margaret (Barker) MacDonald. On September 13, 1952 she married Alvin L. Long at the First Baptist Church of Bad Axe.

Alvin preceded her in death on August 23, 2015, having been married for 62 years. Jeanella was a graduate of Bad Axe High School, and attended Taylor University in Indiana for one year. She enjoyed spending time with her family, golfing, helping out on the family farm and she loved singing in the church choirs and the community choir.

Jeanella and her husband owned a home for 40 years in Palmetto Florida, where they would spend their winters. Jeanella attended the Free Methodist Church of Bad Axe, and First Baptist Church in Bradenton, Florida. Jeanella (Mick) is survived by her children Alan (Diane) Long of Elgin, Illinois, Donald (Elaine) Long of Bad Axe, and Margaret Schwartz of Elgin, Illinois; grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Megan, Keith, Erik, Steven and Cari; and 10 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Alan Schwartz, her sister-in- law, Elna Long, and special aunts: Ella Barker and Laura Barker. Funeral Service is Wednesday, January 23rd at 11:00 at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel with Rev. Carl Stetler officiating.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 22nd at 2 pm until 8 pm, and also on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of service at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel in Bad Axe. - Memorials may be offered to the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church-Sonshine Kids Daycare. Condolences can be shared at www.
