TRAVASSOS, Jeanne M. (Larocque), 67, of West Warwick Manor, 62 Roberts Street, West Warwick, passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening, May 20, 2019 at Kent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel F. Travassos. Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Edward A. and Doris (Sicard) Larocque.

She was a resident of West Warwick for most of her life. Jeanne was a communicant of SS. John and James Parish, and taught Bible Study for many years.

She was a former treasurer of the West Warwick Manor Tenants Association and past president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club # 1313. She is survived by her loving sons, Manuel F. Travassos, Jr. and Joseph M. Travassos both of West Warwick; four sisters, Claire Phelps, Carol Peltier and Judith Faria all of West Warwick and Dawn Ribeiro of Rehoboth, MA and two grandchildren, Adriana and Zachary. She was the sister of the late Edward R. Larocque.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 9:00 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in SS. John and James Church, 20 Washington Street, West Warwick. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.
