Obituary for Jeffery “Joe” Mitchell Jeffrey “Joe” Mitchell, a recent resident of Nevada, TX, passed away October 7, 2018, at the age of 64. He was born April 28, 1954, in Muncie, IN, to Dale and Peggy Joanne (Foster) Mitchell. A good, Christian man, Joe loved his mother and adored his family.

He was always sure to tell them how much he loved them. Joe had a good heart and was always hugging people and telling stories. He enjoyed singing and dancing.

Guns and farming were the loves of his life and he believed in open, country living. Joe loved telling stories and enjoyed traveling, especially to the Alamo and the river in San Antonio, TX. He will be remembered always and missed dearly.

Joe is survived by his loving daughters: Amy Lynn Laxson and Melissa “Missy” Ann Stanbery; their mother: Debbie Stanbery; grandchildren: Adrian, Brandon, Matthew, Tristan, Carlee and Mackenzie; and siblings: Mark Mitchell and wife Connie, Chris “Buck” Mitchell and Kathy “Sissy” Ward; along with a host of loving relatives and friends. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date.
